The 993 turbo return oil line is about 30mm longer at the metal tube section with 2 sharper bends versus the 993 N/A return line. Last time I check for a 993 turbo oil return line it was NLA from Porsche but maybe they are available from Porsche classic, I'm not sure. I think Freisinger Motorsport in Germany as them in stock at 700 or 800 Euros a piece.

Happy holidays.

Wow! Got to think a customer pipe could be had for much less if you have a (damaged) original to match it to when making it. Possibly a hydraulic repair shop could fab (or repair) one for a lot less.

The problem with the oil return line "custom made pipe from an hydraulic shop" is the round crimped tube fitting that connect in the thermostat unit below the oil tank, that round metal fitting with 2 Viton ring seal crimped on the metal tube is Porsche proprietary. Same goes with the oil lines from the thermostat along the bottom of car to the oil cooler.

You own a Porsche, you pay. Simple!

I've had a couple of pipes fabbed by a hydraulic shop. They take the metal portions of the pipe you have and fab the rubber in between. You have a new crimped on hose and the correct fittings on the ends of the hose and the cost is substantially cheaper.

Yes the crimped rubber hose portion can be replaced by a good hydraulic shop but the round metal end with 2 grooves at the end of the line that connect in the thermostat CAN'T be replaced if it leaks oil. That means you have to replace the line with a new one.

Default agree

Yep, I agree 100% if the pipe is leaking. If it's just the hose, the hydraulic shop is the way to go. As usual, this is my opinion, and ymmv.

I have the Turbo Kraft oil feed lines and never get any smoking Cris. No expert but not sure you need the return lines. Try these and Merry Christmas

To be clearer, point is I don't think you need a special return line if you have the longer, valved feed lines which are way cheaper.

Ronnie.

Again the topic is ENGINE RETURN LINE, not turbo valved feeding lines or turbo return lines. There is a big difference between an engine return line and turbo oil lines like your picture.

Start reading from the tread starter and work your way down.

Cheers.

This picture is an engine return oil line, as nothing to do with turbo oil feed lines or return hard lines.

I did, and again, the reason I posted is because I don't think you need an expensive non-OEM return line if you have the less expensive aftermarket feed lines, pretty much making this whole thread irrelevant.
