Is that what you chaps call a "shooting brake"? Do you still use that term? What model is that? The pictures make it look very tall in the back... not attractive to my eyes.

 

150 mph? is that including groceries kids and soccer *****??

My dad might call it a "shooting brake" we call them Estate cars.
I agree the car doesn't photograph very well. Whilst it is no 993, it is good looking for an Estate car "in the metal"

That was me at the McDonalds... but I was driving my Porsche. BTW, they use Euros in Europe... In Great Britain, they use pounds.

Are you planning to get out for the POC/PCA event at California Speedway (5/15)? the Tracquest event at Willow (5/22)? the "rumble" on 6/5? Hope to see you soon.

 

I'm trying to do the math on 0-150 in 23 seconds. Is that quick?

 

A manual box 996 turbo takes about 26 seconds. I used 0-150mph 'cos it takes a bit to get the thing going. These figs are for the saloon/sedan so the estate will be a bit slower (unless of course it is modified a bit )
0-60 in 4.6s
0-100 in 9.8s
0-125 in 14.6s

just to visit and yes to the Rumble. When are you going to be at Willow??

 

Yes, very tasty but at a price. The E-class is proably signifiacantly over 100k? Even the 470 horse C-class version was supposed to be priced at 90k....

I am waiting for the 280 HP 530d wagon to hit the streets.....not as wild as the AMG wagons but a lot more palatable for the wallet when gas (petrol) is hitting 1.20-1.30 (liter).
