Can't seem to find a Turbo S stateside that is not black or silver.
If color is really the most important thing, and immediacy is important, you may have no other choice. That said, I bought mine when I wanted a guards red one, 17 years ago. Passed up an Arena red one at the time not because I didn't like the color, but because of the interior and other small issues. Long story short, I have owned the car longer than any other car I've had despite it not being the color I wanted. Color for me was initially a huge factor, but over time, the excellence of the example I have has made me keep it.

If this is a impulse buy and the $ is not a huge deal. I'd say go for it and enjoy it for what it is.

Edit: nothing wrong with (metallic) black by the way:

That black looks pretty nice actually. The ones for sale stateside are 6-700k though. The arbitrage is material assuming I am not getting internationally scammed.

Not sure about an arb at 400k+ for an 83k example vs. 600k for a 20k example. The one on PCAR can probably be had for 550 with 17k miles and it looks more original to me. But more importantly, the arena one has 5x the mileage. I'd pay an extra 25% for a car with 66,000 fewer miles.

Default RHD turbo s

Saw this one recently

https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/...-993-turbo-s-1

Well optioned car for about 300k. With these reaching the 25 year mark does RHD matter?

What does the community think about importing something like this?

I think that is an amazing deal and car. Not sure if there is a story there, but if that were widely marketed and well prepared and presented, it could be 2x the price based on comps. High miles, repaint, and weak condition, but there is nothing else under 500k that I see anywhere.

If you import a euro turbo S you get the WLS2 power kit vs the US WLS1. It's personal but for me The RHD would be harder to swallow. I'd want a RHD in a RHD country, but here I'd want a LHD.

I think the Swedish red one sold. They wanted 700k or something.

Car looks nice. It really needs the Turbo S wheels and caps, but otherwise great. Blue/tan is a rare combination too.

Are the wheels not original to the model?

They are not. The finish on the Turbo S wheels was different and the center caps were too.
