In search of a 993 TT
I have been looking for the past few months for the perfect 1997 993 TT. So far, no good. I am not opposed to a 96, but rather have a 97.
Basically, looking for a TT in excellent shape. Low mileage. My favorite colors are Glacier White, Silver, Speed Yellow, Adventurine Green, and Arena Red.
If anyone has any leads or hears of any coming up for sale, please feel free to e-mail or PM me.
Thanks in advance for any help.

What is this thing you call "winter"?
No kidding. I had my hands on one today and was ready to go. Right before the PPI, we found it was keyed and a fender (and possibly the door) was repainted. I know a repaint isn't the end, but it was for me. No need for the PPI.
grrrr.

Mark,
Each to his own, but a fender respray because of a key-scratch probably wouldn't deter me, especially if the car was to be a daily driver... possibly even see some track duty?
Drats... I've searched high and low, and can't find that autoweek. It has a road test of the Carerra GT on the cover. Just got it yesterday in the mail. Hmmmm. If I find it I'll post details. Sorry.

Mark,
Double drats... I found the magazine, but I can't find either of those white 993TTs. I musta been dreaming. I'm sorry. I'll look again with more light (I'm an old guy, remember?) later.

Thanks for looking. I got smart and checked the autoweek website. There is a white 993 in there.
As far as the repaint, no track duty. This is something that will only be driven on weekends and the occ. Friday to work. Just a toy.

Mark -
There are a number of cars out there - low miles too. There's one at the Chequered Flag in the Marina (wht, tan 13k mi) and a yellow one in Rosemead with 4,300 miles...

There was also a yellow one back east on the Porsche Certified website.
Good luck.

Stedge and WildWillard:
Both the Speed Yellow and the White are nice cars. They won't let me PPI the SY one and the Glacier White was the one that got keyed that I mentioned above. I have gotten some time to think about it, however, and am seriously reconsidering purchasing that one.

Mark, I'm in the early stages of looking for the same car, although I want black and have a NSX to sell. For my info, why do these dealers seem so unwilling to let a potential buyer PPI, what was the reasoning.

Good luck on your search. Regarding that SY, the car is on consignment. I am not even sure they have the keys!
They are not a porsche-oriented shop. I don't think they quite understand what they have there. The owner of the car is firm at 92k because of his after-market additions to the car.
Regarding shops and PPI's, that is the first one I have come across. Most are more than willing to help out (and are p-car fans that appreciate our quest). This shop is not the typical p-car shop.
Too bad.

The 97 SY@Rosemead, CA appear to be very clean inside-out. I did talk to the sales manger and he mention the seller will give the org. parts such as wheels...etc. to the buyer as one package deal.
Worth to be consider.
One more thing....This car is on the show room for about 10 weeks. Org asking price was $98K.
Hope the info is helpful.
