Default Clutch issue weird

I was at a cars & coffee today and I was parked on a hill with the nose facing downward. About two hours later I get back into the car to leave and I have no clutch pedal, its down to the floor. So without starting it I coast to level ground. Then I started it and continue to pump the clutch to see what would happen. Eventually it came back to normal and I drove home like nothing has happened. Never had this problem before. What do you think caused this issue?

Sounds lhe power assist slave cylinder is starting to fail - did you check the pentosin reservoir in the front trunk (left rear corner) to see if its at it correct height? That could indicate issues.

A failed accumulator usual feels like a super heavy clutch, not one that goes to the floor. Possible though.

Is the reservoir just full, or overflowing?

Cheers,

Mike

The lining inside the hydraulic line that connects the reservoir to the master cylinder can collapse and restrict or even block the flow of fluid, this hydraulic line can look fine on the outside.
This can cause the symptoms you described.

Sounds like a hydraulic problem, my guess is the slave cylinder or the accumulator?

The clutch hose for a Turbo is braided steel while the NA one is just rubber. Maybe yours was replaced with the more likely to collapse rubber one at some point?

Was never replaced. I know that as a fact as I am the original owner. That is why it was difficult to diagnose, the hose appeared to be fine. It was the lining
that collapsed, restricting the flow. But it never leaked.

If the line is collapsed I think I would have never made home. Its working fine since then. I'm not an expert, but I think it had something to do with the car being on a steep hill nose facing down. Not sure.
