Default Body Changes?

Greetings,

Were there any changes to the 993TT body or anything exterior from 1996-1997 or 1997-1998?

Thanks,

G.

Other than narrow body vs. wide body, I don't believe so.

Thanks for the response. Perhaps a silly question as I cannot find any documentation to suggest it has but really appreciate the input.

Hoping that a few of the other 70+ people that have reviewed this can weigh in as well.

Best,

G.

Body changes no, a few underneath changes/enhancements 96 to 97, nothing sensational.

1. '97 and newer came with a different first gear that us not machined on the shaft and not prone to twisting I thought.

2. '96 ECUs are more difficult to tune if that is a concern.

All else is the same. Buy based on condition and service records of car rather than the two points above.

Couple of interior changes in 97, door panels and ignition key light. No external changes I can think of apart from the rear screen seal changed after a year, doubt you could tell the difference without one of each in your hand.

My July production '96 has the '97 key light but not sure about ECU. Apparently, June production and later '96's had '97 parts including the 1st gear input shaft.
