Anyone have a Used Turbo Rotor laying around???
Hey Guys,
I've got a big problem that I'm hoping you guys can help me with.
While changing the rotor hats on a 993TT rotor, I accidently snapped a head off one of the rotor/rotor hat bolts. Turns out Porsche doesn't sell these separate from the rotor, which means I either need to find a used rotor to get a bolt/nut off of or buy a whole new rotor from Porsche.
So I'm hoping one of you guys has a worn out rotor or something that you'd throw in the trash that you could salvage the hardware off of.
If anyone has something like this or an idea of where I could find some spare hardware, please email me at spencerbunting@hotmail.com
Thanks!

I figured that question would come up.
Well, its actually a 993 TT brake kit for an M3. So you swap out the Porsche hat for a custom machined hat to fit the BMW lug pattern.
I appreciate your help Viperbob. I've been looking for these little pieces of hardware for about a month now with no luck. The local Porsche dealer didn't even believe me when I told them that 993 TT's had 2 piece rotors.
Let me know if you find anything.

I found a couple of turbo rotors in my pile. I'll try to get a couple of the bolts out later today. Why don't you send me your address to bob@renntt.com. How many do you need?
My buddy used a pair of my old rotors to do this same mod on his '95 M3. Worked pretty well.

Can I pile on here and ask a rotor question? A friend is engineering a brake system (for older Mopars, actually) using BR calipers and TT/C4S rotors. Are the rotors ever sold without a hat, or are they delivered from the factory as a unit? Any balance or other issues with swapping hats?
Also, if anyone has a trashed hub they'd want to get rid of, please PM me, it'd be useful. Many thanks.
