Sounds like a great deal, but especially for someone who wants to upgrade his 1996 ECU... you already have a chippable ECU. Still... dirt cheap.
I'm not sure that top speed is the way to measure the performance... aren't our cars limited by gearing? We run out of revs in 6th gear to go any faster unless the car is regeared, has taller rear tires, or has some engine work to allow it to achieve power at 7000+ RPM. You'll probably get a nice HP increase with that ECU, even without any real change to top speed.

Well after yesterday's experience at rockingham (international race circuit) track day, I think it's a good job i didn't win the ECU. I need to learn to drive it properly with the 420 or so it's already got !
