Default RUF Turbo R is still the BEST!

Took her out for a proper drive the other day. Been through a lot of cars over the years, but good 'ole Mr. RUF is the only one that has stood the test of time. My Turbo R got the full RUF treatment back in 2008. Hard to believe it's been that long. She's only seen about 14K miles over the past 11 years, but I've thoroughly enjoyed every one. There are faster and quicker cars out there now, but a lot of this has to do with the improvements provided by DCT. Even by today's standards, the RUF still pulls hard once it's moving and the turbos are fully lit. Seen a number of other turbo R's grace these pages over the years which is awesome to see. These cars are just so dang reliable and driveable and I still think they are the pinnacle in the looks category. Long live the 993TT, especially in RUF trim!

Bravo kmy! Couldn't agree with you more. Mine's not a turbo r, but still provides me with more satisfaction and smiles as anything else out there. We are having an unusual "cold spell" for Dallas and as lousy as the roads are here, I had to take mine out last night just to get one last blast before summer sets in. I think I was grinning the whole time. Cheers to the 993tt!

Timeless is right! Your car is a RL classic and I'm sure an inspiration to many and more to come.

I took mine out for the first time a few weeks back. The rush of 2nd and 3rd gear never gets old. Whoosh!

Your car was what caused me to go down the rabbit hole. A decade after I first saw it. Thank you!

Love it guys!! Beautiful cars, every one of them.

I rarely if ever see 993's on the road any more which is a shame, let alone widebody cars or turbos.

The design is timeless and I think they look better with each passing year. Let's remember to keep driving them! Too pretty to be locked away in the garage all the time.

In fact, I think I'll take mine out again tomorrow

Cheers fellas!!!

Scott I remember your polar silver car back in the early days. I believe you had your 993tt before me! I always thought those blue calipers complimented that color perfectly.

SF, we need pics of your turbo R. Looks spectacular!!
