Love it! Is there a place in California to do the RUF conversion? been looking around for prices and install. Any help would be great!

Got to go to Vancouver - Weissach is the RUF reseller for North America I believe (unless they have re-opened a US re-seller since). That is the place my car got the Turbo R treatment (done by previous owner). I dont know the team but they were friendly and helpful when I inquired about the history of my car.
Best,

The best sizes were 235/35/19 and 315/25/19. Michelin used to offer these sizes in the old pilot sports, but unfortunately are discontinued.

I've switched to 245/35/19 and 305/30/19. It's close but no rubbing for me. The sidewall is a bit taller which provides for a better ride. My fenders were rolled when the car was at RUF so I imagine without that these sizes could be problematic with my set up and offset.

They look great though and modern michelin rubber is a huge improvement over some of the old choices.

Thanks man.

Here's a long post from years back on the build, which documents the progress over time. It's been a fun journey.

Why do some Turbo R conversions have the center exit exhaust and others have the dual side exhausts?

Is this strictly optional?

Mine has a factory RUF ctr2 bumper which was nearly impossible to source. This came standard on the ruf VIN cars and was ahead of its time. Porsche followed suit with the 997 Gt3 but back in 1997 it was pretty unique. Good eye!

Quick Reply: RUF Turbo R is still the BEST!
