Default GT2 Power Kit

Good day folks,

First post on 993 turbo forum

I was reading about a Porsche dealers' installed "GT2 Power Kit" for 993 turbos.. and nowhere was I able to find what this entails. Many threads talked about different levels of horsepower at different levels and one addressed a Power Kit that involves chassis and transmission mods.
I called two Porsche centres and I'm still awaiting their formal responses.

Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe they refer to GT2 or RoW Turbo S retrofit kit offered by porsche (DME and K24 turbos)?

Good point!
it’s a Porsche intercooler that to my “untrained eye” looks stock turbo. The foreman could not ascertain whether an extra oil cooler is part of the kit since the car in question has it but the factory description did not.

Afaik all the ‘gt2’s’ used the standard intercooler except the gt2 evo which uses a scan with a 180 degree/na type intake and doesn’t fit under a stock lid. The only real ‘upgraded’ intercooler that actually is a true upgrade and more efficient (that also looks stock) is he Andial intercooler which uses stock end tanks/center section with thicker bar & plate cores. It uses the stock shroud but the shroud is modified (loses the ‘lip’ around the opening) and fits under the stock lid. If you can get a pic, we can identify it. 18k ?cad, In 2011 that’s pricey even with an intercooler.

My car was "upgraded" when was new by the first owner when dealer purchased the Porsche "Turbo S" retrofit kit. That TSB is posted in this forum and list all the components used to make the retrofit and for different markets, including the aux. front oil cooler, which mine came factory optioned already. The exhaust is only the "double" tips changed, not the "cans" (mine was changed in the upgrade when was new as well). My DME is a RoW Turbo S (and I guess GT2 as well) paired witht he K24 turbos as per offered by Porsche as upgrade. I found later that they missed installing two 02 sensors (my car doesn't have check engine light option/symbol and didn't bring 02 sensors) but had to be retrofited when using this upgrade according to the TSB.

Let me know if you need any other info that I might know and glad to share. Though, there's many members that way more knoweldge than me to share experience.

factory docs posted by geolab years ago

Looks like there were 2, this kit took the engine from 400 -> 450hp and included turbos, oil cooler & a new DME:

and this one meant for 430hp versions that already had the oil cooler, only turbos + DME:

Excellent work! Thank you for the uploads.

How do you folks think this upgrade would reflect on values expecially in the current market?!
