Intake / intercooler project

I plan on comparing dyno graphs to determine powerband changes. But resisting the urge to change the turbo setup is hard. I'm currently running 3076 HTA and they are decent but I believe a similar size BW EFR would spool 500 rpms faster. There's that, and the PITA to get it tuned so why not do it all at once. The "force" is strong. I need therapy

Tracker, impressive work !, will the throttle body flange clear the upper engine bay. I believe the gt3 manifold sits much higher from the stock 993 manifold but I could be wrong. If you need some measurement just let me know, I have the prtotmotive intercooler installed on mine and lets just say its a thigh fit.

I've tried several time to add more Pics to this thread. nothing happens when I hit the upload button. Works on a new thread as a test. Any Ideas? file size thing?

Good to know, but that procedure sure sounds cumbersome! I love tacker's work, it's the kind of fabrication that I would really like to be able to do, so pictures would be great - it used to be that you could just create references to photos in a posting, then that changed to mandatory uploading of pictures which is BS, and now this? You should be able to reference them out of say Google Photos, but maybe there is some HTML that will do that -> I think there is implied ownership on their part when someone uploads to this site, not sure, I sure hope not.
Cheers,
Mike

Thanks Scott for uploading the Pics.
As you can see some progress is being made. The wiggens clamp clears the lump caused by the rear wiper motor and the clamp has been modified so you don't have to open as much to clear. I also had to make a custom flange because the wiggens assembly has a ring that adds extra hassle to the connection. So I made the ring part of the flange. I also made a custom cam lock intercooler bracket. Now I can install/remove the intercooler without tools in a minute or so. Ill have to do a video.
More machining, I need to make fuel rail brackets that double as intake hold downs using one of the 3 bolts on the intake runners. A couple other brackets for cabling and hoses, and I need to figure out the airbox thing. I made a nice carbon fiber one in the past but now I need dual airboxes for layout reasons. I will also need to make a bulkhead plate to seal up the engine. There's a big opening where the y pipe was. Once it's all together I'll send the parts out for plating or powder coat

jeeze! that's really nice work. Look at those welds and intercooler cam lock bracket! man.
haven't done much with the 993 lately, been playing recently with the 928 transmission.
