Happy Guy!
Got my TT back today with the new clutch slave unit.Incredible difference!
It would seem that this has been a problem with my car since day 1.It never shifted so smoothly and precisely as it does now.
As depressing as it was watching it being hauled away on the back of a flatbed,I am actually glad it finally failed.

Seljan,
Just curious, does your clutch engage near the end of the pedal travel? "End of travel" being almost fully released. My clutch doesn't engage till about that point. I prefer to have it engage towards the floor board range of the pedal travel. Do you know if that's adjustable?

Now it's engaging fully about an inch from the top of the throw. Before the repair it was all over the place.Someone more technical will have to field that question about adjustability.

The clutch is not adjustable on these cars. With the master and slave cylinders operating properly, a clutch releasing near the top of the pedal travel typically indicates a clutch disc that is nearing the end of its' life.
