decided to take my 993 tt to the store after not driving for 1 month. almost home and I accelerate medium hard and see smoke out the rear then pull in garage and see it leaking green fluid and smoking from right rear tire area? This is transmission fluid, right?

Power steering fluid. The reservoir, lines and pump are all there. There was an update early on that changed the seals for the banjo fitting from steel to copper. Pull off the intercooler and airbox and check the area.

I had this happen to me as well and it turned out the master slave cylinder and hydraulic pump both had to be replaced. It is not cheap. If this is the case, I would make a bit of a stink with PCNA as there is no way a hydraulic pump embedded deep inside the engine should fail like that (my car only had 30,000 miles on it). PCNA ended up splitting the cost of repairs with me - while of course denying that there was anything faulty with the part.

Oh man, what are the odds that Bcat and Zcat would have the same problem?
