Vibration in Shifter?

Vibration in Shifter?
Hi,
I just upgrade to a lightweight clutch plus flywheel and
noticed a vibration in the shift **** afterwards. I searched
the forums and found a refernce to raising the shifter
1 mm (Mark Hunter). I passed this along to my mechanic,
but he is not sure what this means. Can anyone tell
exactly what to adjust. Much thanks in advance

I've noticed the same vibration under very hard acceleration in the lower gears after my LWFW/RS clutch installation and am interested in a possible solution as well.

I do not have the LWFW/RS clutch but experience a whine in my shifter, mostly in 3rd and 4th gear. A trusted mechanic at my dealer recommended raising the shifter a mm or two off the stop. Remove the leather shift boot, loosen the allen set screw under the shift boot to your shifter, raise it and re-tighten the set screw. HTH.

I suggest you guys check your motor mounts. Some are prone to *premature* failure and will tend to amplify vibrations like these. Just before I sold my C4S, I had it serviced at or around 39k miles. The technician found one of two mounts totally shot and I had him change both. The car felt much tighter and the vibrations from both the LWF and shifter were gone.
