K40 conversion to Valentine
I have a built in K40.
Given my partiality to Valentine One's I was thinking of converting it. Frankly, having the antenna mounted higher up (eg on the windshield) provides a much further look, let alone any qualilty of electronics difference.
I was considering rewiring the valentine so the unit would be placed on the visor, but that I would use the already installed red rear and front LED's in the dash to be the same for the Valentine unit (both could come on for side), and have the control **** be used as well.
In fact, I was considering replacing the red LED's with a dual color so I could get the differentiation of X,K or L.
Thoughts? Anyone done this?
