Lightbulb Trying to upgrade Interior bits

I am trying to modernize the 993 cabin. Truth be told, any excuse to get rid of the beige and inserting black or silver is acceptable at thsi point ;-)

My plan is to redo the carpet, door panels with RS ones, dye the rear seats and rear panels (done it before, looks great), insert aluminum wherever I can (switches, handbrake etc...). Eventually finish it off with 2 sparco milano 2. Easy stuff all around, not too expensive until you get to the actual seats, and it should kick ***! I am having issues planning some of that stuff (it's gonna be a while, they screwed up my property tax payment so I am broke) - and finding parts. Whatever you know might help !

- Hi hi pockets:
I have the Hi fi option. Because of that I am worried about placement in an RS door panel. Some have said it fits, I'd love to see a picture if it's available. I want to see how you solved the look of the dual speakers (the tweeter is easy) through an RS panel, how the speaker dual grill fits or if you used 2 grills instead of the dual speaker grill.

- Panels: I got some response about RS door panels. Cool: 964 units seem to fit 993s. I still would like to hear it from anyone who actually did it on a 993 - where did you get the panel from, do you like it, how is the quality?

- Aluminum window switches:
Am i going nuts ? I could swear I saw them for sale somewhere at some point - I cannot find the ad anymore. I am going through old issues of pano and excellence to no avail ! Do they exist or are they a figment of my imagination ?

- Center console: The price of a CF console from Gert could make a grown man cry. I'm gonna try and dye mine. Unless someone has a cheap black one for sale ?

- aluminum insert handbrake: OK, trying to avoid the $295 from Gert here. Does anybody sell an aluminum insert that would fit /glue on the existing handbrake ? Any vendor ? Seems to me the existing handbrake looks great, but could be vastly improved cosmetically with a $50 insert, either glue on top of surrounding the grabbable part! I bet that does not exist though, right ?

- carpet set comes for hi-fi ?
ShouldI decide to keep (and dye) my door panels, can I recarpet the door pockets if they have the HiFi option ? I know the regular carpet set includes door pockets, but regular ones. I never saw a Hi-fi door pocket option. Have you ?

- SSK: I never thought I wanted a short **** kit until I drove my new commuter, a mini cooper. Now the 993 shifter in action reminds me of rowing ! I want shorter throws, I would not mind more smoothness either ! Will any good kit out there reduce throw without making the ****s too harsh ? Are those Bozo installable ? If so please name one ! ;-)

That's all for now ! Thanks for letting Bozo waste some bandwidth. Of course there should be a story at the end of that project ;-)

Try stuttgart perfomance for the aluminum window switches or Elke and Peter in Germany. They have listings on Rennlist and Ebay.

Try germanautodistmantlers and la dismantlers for used porsche parts. You can find them if you do a google search.

TechArt makes a good one. I have it and love it. Bozzo installable too...

Sorry the ones I have seen with the alumin insert are tacky. Get the real thing, it looks so good. I picked up mint one on auction a few months ago, a crazy deal... Just be patient.

- Aluminum window switches:
Try the Rennlist sponsors. I'm sure one of them sells them...
