Question What is this ?

Hello.

When my garage replace my clutch/flywheel, he found this on the lower part on the engine side. Do you know this part ?

993 C4S 1996

it look like a piece of lead that is attached to a cable!

Looking at its condition, the question is what was it at one time. Seems to me if it was a bushing or some working part you would know by some sort of symptoms as to what it was. The previous owner accidentally dropped his wedding band down the clutch vent tube? It could have been part of the clutch friction mounting. If this is the case it's gone now.

Maybe a bushing from the starter?

It would help if the OP described whether it is soft like lead or hard like steel, malleable or stiff, etc.

[Why does "that's what she said" come to mind?]
