Hey, New Guy. that's me.
Just wanted to say hello to everyone and introduce myself.
I just bought a '95 993;black on black, 100k, factory sport seats, bone stock. I've owned an SC for 6 years and just happen to fall into a great deal on this car. I've been lusting for once since i first saw one back in 1994. My car runs fairly well, but has some minor issues. low idle problem because of the lightweight flywheel/clutch that TRG installed is the most major. I imagine a chip from SteveW may solve this! I'm planning on building an RS type car. I've got a factory RS aero kit on it's way to me now. great board you have here, and i'll be sure to search first before asking too many questions!
Cheers,
Kyle in Seattle.

Cool...
Welcome and congrats on the nice car...
>100k, factory sport seats, bone stock.
Since you're coming from an SC (me too, though I had a 986 in between), 100K will not frighten you... Sports seats is a great option to have, and if you don't like'em you can sell them and fund quite a few mods with the money !

You also got the nice goodies already. Check www.p-car.com and the ISV valve section. You can adjust that to compensate for the idle I think.... Still a chip from Steve is a good idea regardless !
>I'm planning on building an RS type car.
That's it, you my twin - though better funded ;-)
Enjoy! Greg. (aka bozo left hands)

Thanks guys. Greg, you may have just exposed yourself to a possible PM. look out. I'll try to get a few more picture too. John, for the price i paid, it could've been orange with green seats! but i love Black on Black too, just like my SC, but jussssst a bit quicker!

I hope your bank account is up to the task of hanging around here. It seems to get awful expensive with mods... Thank god I have been immune to such madness..
Congrats BTW...

kmatts...welcome from another northwestener to a great place to hang out. Where did you get your car? If you would like to meet sometime, I will show you some of the "slippery slope" that this board has gotten me on.

Welcome Kyle! Nice car!! I will never forget when I got mine 4 months ago. I told the wife that I will never ask for anything else ever in my lifetime!! Now, I think I have all the accessory catalogs there is for porsche
This group is the source of insurmountable amount of invaluable information that surely saved me a lot of maint $$$ if I just directly went to the dealers/shops. It's one of the best investments I've made.

Do a search using ISV and you should find the string that desribes how to solve the problems a '95 has with a LWF. I know from experience. If you can't find the thread, send me an email, I think I have the instructions as a Word document.
Congrats on the car. Join Rennlist and stay away from the cliff (aka the slipper slope). You could always just realize that resistance is futile...

Mike W, i did join Rennlist today in fact. but it's not showing me with the red "Rennlist Member" doh!
RCWelch & Tom. get together? oh yeah! i'm in. I've recently decided that there is no way i can afford to keep the SC with this 993"project". i assume the "slipperly slope" refers to the inevitable abysis that my financial status will soon resemble?
I purchased my car from a private seller, who was "highly motivated". I would not have been able to afford this car otherwise, I consider myself VERY lucky.
thanks much Tom. I'll check it out. I'm getting tired of slipping the clutch ocassionally while driving to get the motor firing again.
ok, i'm off to go out and gut the airbox! anyone need any plastic shavings?
Cheers, and thanks so much for the warm welcome!
oooo yeah, here is another pic. dreary Seattle weather, yeah!!!
