If I could buy it for 10% of what I sold it for, I'd but one for me and one for you!

There was bound to be some cooling off. It was a frantic cycle with enthusiasts and investors all competing for limited inventory. I feel we've reached a more balanced point. Values have far from "crashed", just normalized IMHO.

What will the future hold? Who knows for certain. The 993 is a solid bet for enjoyment with very low odds for depreciation. You will likely make a few bucks over time. Not a bad deal if you ask me. Far better than the guy who buys the shiny new sports car that looses half its value in 4 years.

Sat in this one a couple of days ago while getting my tires checked on the way to work.

It was a trade in for a new Turbo ....and it is stunning.

Interesting two-tone interior but it looks aftermarket to me. Also why so many Porsche crests inside? Did the previous owner have selective amnesia and kept forgetting what type of car he was driving?

I thought the same thing but also had never been behind the wheel of a 993 turbo before so I wasn't sure what was supposed to be there and what wasn't. My interior is all black so it did seem overwrought.

That said, it is in almost showroom condition. The Arena paint is perfect.

Also, the rep said it was a one owner car.

This is horrible! Ferry Porsche would be rolling over in his grave over this one. Plus it's at TRUCK ride height!

Those crests on the steering wheel and passenger's airbag cover look . . . dangerous? Then again, going out with a Porsche crest in your forehead isn't the worst way to go

I also think something looks fishy with the black seat inserts---maybe looks better in person.

Having my oil changed at Prestige in an hour.

I'll take a few shots of it while I wait.

Why do people think the air bag cover comes back in your face if deployed? It flips down (or up).

Doesn't the whole wheel come off and pin you back into your seat? For safety.

As long as your not a 80 pounder sitting one inch from the wheel, it won't kill you.

Say what? Ahhh! NO!! I never thought to ask.

They said the oil looked fine so they just topped it off and sent me on my way. Next time I'll insist on the right oil or bring my own.

BTW, the interior of that turbo is in MAJOR need of de-modding. What ever those wannabe faux alcantara inserts are, you can can slide your hand behind them.

...and the crests are glued on! Badly! You can actually see the bead of glue sticking out from behind.
