Default How slippery is your slope?

After owning a relatively heavily modified 964, I was adamant that I would not get too involved in modifying the 993. I guess a lot of it had to do with reliability and the fact that I didnt want to feel exhausted upon arriving at work each morning (my 964 was an absolute dog to drive daily due to heavy engine mods, lack of sound proofing against a loud exhaust etc).

Having said that, I have a couple of mods now on the 1995 993 C2 narrow body 6 speed in the time that I have owned it, but all largely aesthetic. They include the following-

Body:
Techart front splitters
Techart brake ducts with fogs
C2S rear split grill (absolutely love this the most)
Clear turn indicators
Red European rear indicators

Wheels:
Porsche 17" cup 2 rims with Bridgestone S02s
Porsche 17" 996 "twist design"with Contisport N1s (terrible tires)
RUF 18" rims with Michelin Pilot Sport N0's (soon to be sold)
18" Work 3 piece mesh rims...taking 2 months to arrive!!!

Suspension:
M030 sway bars
M030 springs
Bilstein HD shocks

Engine:
Motor Sound package
Gemballa exhaust tips

Anybody else care to share the mods they now have on their car ..... of course at the end of the day I realise I am just hitting the tip of the iceberg when I see some of the stuff you all have already done....but its always fun to see how crazy some of you are....

Removed cassette holder for simple tray
Cup holder
lots of cleaning and liberal Zaino use

Go Fast:
RS LWF and clutch
Shorter gearing

PSS-9 suspension (with corner balance and RS alignment settings)
RS-sway bars
Spare cup wheels with MPSC tires
Pagid Orange pads for track days

Other

Oh, the slope was starting to get slick so I bought a 964 (1992 C2) to halt my descent. It has a full cage, Recaro SRD seats and a few other changes.

Slippery, very slippery. End not in sight.

11/16/02 Car cover
12/9/02 Porsche front strut bar
1/5/03 RSR mufflers
2/20/03 PSS-9 suspension, Rennsport engine chip
2/21/03 RS sway bars, Gert's fpb
3/17/03 Catz HID's
3/18/03 Used DAS roll bar
4/14/03 Elephant Racing track skins
4/18/03 Amerex halon fire extinguisher
4/24/03 I/O Port rollbar video mount
7/24/03 bumper plugs
8/4/03 Pagid Orange brake pads
5/5/03 Used Trailex trailer
7/17/03 Full Xpel clear bra kit
8/22/03 Four fuel jugs
10/1/03 Used GT3 seats and new harnesses
10/2/03 Fikse FM-10 wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires
10/19/03 Fabspeed Supercups
11/10/03 Used Mille Miglia mufflers
11/18/03 Used Toyo RA-1 rain tires

Plus way too many miscellaneous track supplies tools and car care doo-dads to mention here.

I'm trying desperately to stop.

ViperBob, does 1) mean that you are getting bad bump steer? I am at RS height and don't find it a problem....

2) what coil did you use? Any compatibility issues?

Cheers, Maurice

I haven't done much, but never planned to spend money on anything but maintenance when I bought it. Most are standard options for the 993 but mine didn't have them when I bought it. Nothing fancy but still translates into unplanned cash. Some of you guys really have incredible cars!

Motorsound airbox (Custom )
RSR Exhaust
Polished tips
18" Technology Wheels (kept my 17" Cups)
Front Protection Bar
Tech Art Springs
Bilstein HD shocks

On Horizon ...
Euro Bumper
Clear Turn Signals
Turbo S ducts w/driving lights
Aluminum Threshold Plates
