Default Oil drain plug - well, not really...

Second time I did my oil change and I screwed up, in some way. Instead of removing the oil drain plug to the SIDE of the crank case I removed the drain plug (this is not a drain plug obviously) at the BOTTOM closest to the transmission. Don't ask me why I did this...I knew something was not normal when the "drain plug" was literally kicked out by a spring... What did I remove? It was a bear to reinsert the entire assembly using bare hands since this is a strong spring. Any reason to be concerned? Everything works fine, full oil pressure and all but haven't driven her yet. Thanks!

That's the oil pressure relief piston/spring. No problem as long as everything went back together how it was.

Thanks! There's really just one way to assemble this thing and everything's appears to be normal. No idea why I took this one lose instead of the drain plug. Next time I have a beer before I get started...
