what would you replace your 993 with?

30-35k for a good example of a RS4.. I've sold my 993 and picked up a rs4 .D efinitely ticks alot of boxes, scratches the itch for serious get up and go(420hp) great sound, third pedal, and very driver involved car. Quite a special car that often gets overlooked. Golf R too..and serious dough left over

My dad has a gt350 and a gt450r. Don't aske me why. They're cool. I'm not out shopping for an alternative but occasionally i wonder about what else. Somethiing newer with Bluetooth might be nice. But then again I can't think of much other than a 993 that creates a sense of occasion for me. So far I haven't been swayed by the suggestions. For me I'd have to find another $30-50k and do a 997 gt3 to make a change.

No personal experience with them but yesterday I spoke with a 993 enthusiast who has bought and installed five of them in different cars.

Such timing... I'm currently pondering a change to a 2017 VW Golf R mostly due to family-related practicalities (2 kids, ferrying around them and friends all the time - not super awesome in the 993, especially in winter).
If I didn't need to cart the kids around at the moment I'd consider a 997.2 or current-gen Cayman (like the GT4). If I change out of the 993 then my plan in a few years once the oldest is driving is to swap back to something like that.

I have no plans to sell my 993.
That said, earlier this year I purchased '99 996 in pristine condition for well under $20K as a daily driver. I have to say that I like the car. It has grown on me. If I had it to do over I would purchase a low milage 996tt, which would be in the price range the OP mentioned.

NSX or add some money and get a 360 manual. I have no desire to sell and buy either but if something happened and I didn't get another 993, I'd get one or the other.
Would still have a Porsche in the garage.

I've developed a real hankering for this thing: http://www.listerbell.com/. Always loved the Stratos but I'm a million dollars short from a real one. Not quite ready to sell the 993 but been thinking about this a lot.

As much as I love my 993, I replaced it with a 2016 Boxster Spyder.
My 1997 993 Cabriolet is now for sale. Please see the listing in the RL Vehicles for Sale listing. Also, please feel welcome to pass along my listing to fellow RL'ers. I have owned the car for over 10 years and I'd love it to go to a RL'er!
Thanks in advance!
