Finally we have the CAD model complete for the 9mRS upright. Note that (within machining capabilities) it is identical in size, look and shape to the factory upright and will be the standard production 9m part. The intention is to consider a lightweight Evo version of the part at a later date once we have completed a full kinematic analysis of the whole suspension system - but don't ask any more about this, it won't happen for some time yet.

Material for the first production batch is ordered, we should be cutting metal next week and hence be ready to take orders.

Thanks for your interest and for asking. The list price of the 9m Uprights is £2195 per pair, excluding taxes and shipping.

We have pressed the button on making 10 pairs in the first production batch. Out of this batch 6 pairs have already been allocated to 9m conversions currently in build (1x 9m93GT2, 1x 9m93RS, 2x 9m64RS, 2x 9m64ST) and the remaining 4 pairs will be available to order. However, this being Rennlist I feel that it is my duty to "pay it forward", hence if we can secure pre-orders for another 10 pairs I will double the production numbers and sell all 14 pairs at Group Buy Price of £1995 per pair. Payments will only be sorted out once we have metal cut, so if you would like a pair at a discounted price, please tell your friends and form an orderly queue below:

We ship worldwide and to be clear the price does not include shipping.

That's a real bargain. I paid more than double that for a pair of billet uprights for my Ariel Atom a few years ago.

Hi Colin

I'm interested in your new uprights but I have a C4. Would they fit on my car? I'm thinking about those front driveshafts which need to be accommodated.

Thanks

Any update Colin? I'm ready to place a deposit or order. Hoping to get my hands on them in time for spring track days!

Here is what the techs found in my control arms on my PPI. They stuck a crow bar as mentioned above and the control arm will wiggle and it should not. If you inspect closer you should find cracks if it is worn...

It's good news as the uprights will fit all 993 variants, C2, C4, C2S, C4S, Turbo, RS and GT2. The only modification required will be the use of 993RS steering arms.

I know that metal has been cut and that the first pair of "setters" have been run through the special jigs on the CNC machine. Naturally a few changes were required and as of 10 days ago all we required were a few minor tweeks to the CNC program for production. As far as I know this has been done and the production batch is on the mill, I will get more information and update next week.

Nice job. Watching my shop go through the process of engineering theirs it is a big job doing a complex part like this.
Fwiw singer fixed this problem too but they have shelves of custom cast units. Not for sale though.

That's great news Colin! All that remains is for us to agree a date to replace the uprights and steering arms. Looking forward to hearing from you.

I travel to Europe often for business.

Does that include the 20% vat? And will you entertain a vat return process if I were to pick them up from the UK?
