Default GT3tek rockers

Rlers, I am kicking around the idea of adding a set of GT3tek black side rocker panels. Does anyone have a picture of their car with them installed? The website photos are on a dark blue car and they do not show up well in the online picture.

Open for opinions on this mod. Thanks RRC

I love the look of the rockers.

My installer told me it was an easy install. I am only disappointed because they are loose and tend to detach from the frame of the car. Maybe there is a trick to have a solider installation and I'll may start a thread soon. in other words there is a gap between the rockers and the frame.

if you go that route you may want to change the splitters too in order to have a consistent look.

Sorry about the "dirty car" picture!

I've done some research in the past and talked to a couple RL'ers about all the RS bits (OEM and GT3tek). The general consensus was that the front splitters and rear wing RS pieces are acceptable from GT3Tek, especially since they are so expensive OEM. But they will require extra prep time before paint (upwards of 10 hours on some RS wings from GT3) and then you start closing in on OEM or at least used OEM.

As for the rockers, they seem to be pretty poorly fitting, like shown above. I personally bought a used OEM set when they appeared for ~$600, so havent fitted them, but I know they will fit correctly and that I can install them with no extra prep (besides 3M double sided tape).

Front replica RS splitters from GT3Tek are very good. Made well, fit well. Side rockers are OK. The mounting points are not as well executed as the OEM ones and they tend to detach over time as the previous poster indicated. Have to be reattached occasionally. The replica RS tail is the worst of the bunch. Needs a lot of work to make it fit properly. My advice is to spend a little extra on the OEM RS skirts.

I have had both, much prefer OEM, more sophisticated mounting.

GT3-TEK Their 993 RS front splitters worked for me. Don't want to say much more other than, sometimes (most of the time with Porsches) it's better to spend a little more and get what you really want, rather than buy replica and aftermarket. But's that's just me...and I confess I do have a Getty Design tail, Gert's GT2 spoiler (It's aftermarket, but from Gert so I knew it would be good), but for side skirts, went back to OEM from Gert.
