Advice on Renting Porsche in Germany
Morning Gents,
Beginning to plan a trip to "der Fatherland" next spring and was wondering about possibilities of being able to rent a P-car while over there. Any advice/recommendations would be much appreciated.

Sixt has the 996, Boxster, & Cayenne. Do a web search for Sixt to get their website address. They have an English website also. I tried to rent one in August but they were sold out the weekend I was there and ended up with a new 5-series. There are also a few other rental companies that have them but I can't remember which.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I used Avis for Porsche rentals in Germany before. They have Boxsters, CayenneS, 996 Coupe, Targa and Convertibles - starts at about EU199 per day. You have to be at least 30 years old. Try www.avis.de and click on "Funcars Deutschland" (no affiliation). Have fun!

Has anyone had any experience with renting something other than a late-model 996 or Boxster...something like a 964 etc. I know that the "full-line" rental outfits will make this goal of mine a very expensive one....
