Default Another door panel question

All the sources I checked don't list any door panels post 94. However, I seem to recall that the door itself was not changed from 964 to 993. (Harm Lagaay saying "this was a good door"). If that is so, would a 964 panel fit a 993 ? I am looking for a 993 RS panel, so positioning of the pockets or handles is obviously not an issue.

Is this a big secret or what ? ;-) 993 Rs panels, anyone ? anywhere ?

PS: Does anyone make silver/stainless steel window switches ?

Greg.

My 964 has RS America panels (no pockets or door handles). It sure looks like it would fit the 993, but I can't say for sure. The PET show different part numbers.

964-555-031-xx (xx for leatherette color, RS America panel)
993-555-031-xx (for 993 RS)

Thanks ! Anyone else ? Before the post sinks to the oldies page ? ;-)

Most catalogs say ->94 only, but AFAIK the door structure is identical ! The only difference would be the garnishing (door pockets etc)... If you want a flat panel, RS style, shouldn't matter, or should it ?

Very good question, for I've wondered the same thing.

My guess is the 964 RS panels would fit, but I'm not sure. Very little advertisement on 993 RS panels...interesting..

I am guessing cross over for the component speakers.

To answer your question about stainless window switches - I've seen them advertised in Excellence - you make want to buy an issue and look through the classifieds in the back. Good luck!

Kim, the speaker crossover as Brian indicated. In the 993 and 954 they normally sit inside the storage compartment just under the handle. Once I get the "blank"piece to fill the gap in ther dash, the stereo and all speakers will be removed.
