Bilstein B8 and M033 lowering

Bilstein B8 and M033 lowering
I've just fitted some Bilstein B8's with M033 springs. The hope was to set ride height to RS+10.
The garage lowered the front to 145 and said they couldn't go any lower. I've got the car home and can see that there is still some adjustment to be had - roughly another 5mm.
Is it safe to roll down the nuts to the bottom of the thread? I'm assuming so, but not sure why my garage didn't do that in the first place.

I have the same setup and actually removed the lower ring and lowered the top ring as far as it would go to get my desired ride height.

That's what has been suggested to get it lower, But don't feel entirely comfortable with doing that myself.
Am I right in thinking that by lowering the rings all the way down, that will lower the car further? or does it just change the tension in the spring? Is there any adjustment at the top of the shock?
Sorry for the newbie questions. I'm just unsure of how it would work.
Thanks in advance

You definitely have some adjustment left without removing any of the collars if you dont want to mess with removal. You are right that if you spin the collars down, you will lower the car.

I'd encourage you reach out to the M033 spring B8 damper installing tech/shop. The tech is in a position to discuss your 993's details, specifically.

There are several Rennlisters, including myself and Kent, that have experienced this issue with the MO33 and B8 combination. I discussed this at length with my local Indy, and there isn't much to be done about it. The ride is phenomenal, but the ride height in front, not so much. This is a function of the suspension itself, not the installation.
Spinning the collars down may help a bit, but 5 mm of threads does not equate to 5 mm lower stance. You also need to make sure you have room on right and left to do this (I had 5 mm on right, but no room on the left). You can also remove the lower collar as Kent has noted, but again this results are nominal and you will not attain RS ride height.

I'm not that great with a spanner, so wasn't going to do it myself. I just don't feel confident that removing the bottom lock ring is the right thing to do.

I'm more a driver than a tech, but have to wonder if you'd be changing all sorts of things with your alignment / corner balance?
I retired from track / instructing so asked for moderate to aggressive street alignment.
Here's what AAOC (top-shelf indy) set for my 993 C2S alignment using Koni FSD and M033:
Fuel Full, Slope 1 degree
Weight less driver 3095
586 / 600
952 / 958
Front
1mm in / 1mm in Toe
-0.7 / -0.7 Camber
+5.1 / +5.3 Caster
Rear
1.5 in / 1.5 in Toe
-1.4 / -1.4 Camber
No idea / don't care what the ride height is, whether it's a few mm up / down from some nominal setting. Looks great and rides like a dream.

can't offer any help re the M033 springs as I went with H&R springs with the Bilstein shocks, but i would recommend if the fronts come off replace that rusty spring seat. Its only going to fail in the future and cause an issue.

Do you have RS uprights and associated suspension pieces upgraded with RS height? I never understand the meaning of lowering a 993 past its stock geometry tolerance spec with only a suspension refresh.
