I don't get the PCARMarket at all. There is such limited info although on average I think the product i look at is better than BaT as most anything 964 sold there is a pig with lipstick except a few. I have seen some messed up stuff happen regarding some very nice 993TT's on BaT that should have sold for far more than some of the less IMO desirable cars.
The argument of quantities made is a strong one and has clearly proven to increase values irrespective which car is perceived as better. It is nice that you know the breakdown of C2 vs C4 as with the 964 all C2/C4, tip/5 speed production including some specialty car info is combined based on coupe, targa or cab so there are no actual known production quantities of one vs the other.

$169k for a 5k mile C4S ..... doesn’t seem unreasonable. These examples will continue to increase.

There was a PTS Yellow C2S with super low miles and sunroof delete for sale in Houston that had an asking price higher than $169k, but not sure what it sold for.

The sunroof delete C2S was asking close to $200k, but was not PTS. It was speed yellow. I know of a few very special C2S that have traded in the $200k range over the last few years. Not unreasonable at all.

RE C4S: If mileage checks out that was a uni. It's a '98 so that is a premium, it has sport seats so it is a premium. Not sure why it would have aftermarket floor marts with Porsche logo but maybe to preserve the stock ones. Hopefully they went through all the necessary replacements of a car sitting for such a prolonged period of time and verifiable service history. All the 90s rubber on any car needs replacement, it is 22-25 years old and considerably degrading. All my 993s had all rubber replaced in due time, it's the only way to properly keep them dry and running. Even window sill rubber has to go. If one is into collect ability and extreme low mileage there is no high price to pay. This is good to see. It would have fetched $200K if a C2S. This dealer also has a red 993 Turbo S. Even rarer. Great to see these prices climbing up. Only helps rest of us 993 owners upon resale.

That said on 993 market we only have 18 months left of enjoying these types of pricing. When they become 25 years old in mid 2021, you can import one from Europe under the 25 year rule duty exemption and during my many nights browsing for a suitable 964 Targa, I can't say how many more 993s of all variants I came across in spectacular condition, low Kms, and enhanced spec being offered for sale in various parts of Europe. US Duty will only be 2.5% and door to door transport is under $4000. So factoring in Euro/US exchange rate for an additional $6000 max you will be able to have at your door a European example which significantly enhances the choice pool. Ask me how I know.
