Wink FIKSE 18" FM10 WHEELS 993 FIT FEELER "HOW MUCH?"

Just a feeler for now, we have a set of wheels removed from a 993.

18x8 and 18x10

We are going to strip them down and make them look like new or better than new again since we will be refinishing the rear barrel something that is not done when new.

What do you think the value should be when done?

We were thinking $2,500 does that seem about right?

Thanks for your in-put, these photos are the BEFORE PHOTOS, they are currently being stripped as we speak.

I think that's a fair price considering they're being refinished to new condition.

Sounds about the right price! Good luck and I'm waiting to see the final results!

Very fair price for refinished FM-10s. Will these be technipolished or race satined (anodized)?

I am curious as to how you refinish them. Will you disassemble each wheel? Anodize or powder coat? The latter will make re-assemble more difficult.

Lastly the Fikse wheels look great on the 993. Always been my favorite. I could be biased though.

If the barrels are in decent shape, that's a fair price. Wide body offsets per chance? But check the barrels carefully as they're prone to cracking.

I would consider buying them as-is, using them for cooler-weather tires. Guess its too late for that if you are stripping them.

NB or WB offset?

Brushed or polished finish? Clear hard anodized? True to mfg specs?
Price sounds about right

Hi guys, thanks for all the great feedback, in efforts to keep the cost down and keep them looking sharp we are going with a brush polish face, we are also going to polish between the spokes and full-polish front and rear barrels, we may consider brush polishing the rears but the work-order is still open since we own them.

Photos of similar finishes, we are very familiar with the process to have these wheels looking like new again.... Yes the wheels are completely taken apart before the refinishing begins.

We will post up some after photos and take off-set information once they are all ready to sell....

At this point we cannot sell them "as-is" given that they are already in process.

Feel free to post any other questions or suggestions,

That's really the right look or the wheels anyway. Brushed centers with polished lips.

Great wheels. Love watching the impact of chumming the waters.

If WB fitment, stop keeping it a secret

We agree.. we feel it would be a wider audience if we kept things factory looking.

Honestly we tried looking up the info but we should have just taken measurements before working on them, 50/50 at this point...

"Shark-Attack" soon...

Ballpark cost for this satin trearment for FM10 centers currently with diamond coat? I have some flaws in my diamond coat that are annoying.
I've already cleaned up the rim portion.

Hi there Pete, in general we charge $200 for paint and polish (2/3 piece wheels 19" and smaller) but for polish/brush treatments you're looking at $50 more in most cases due to the additional labor required.

This includes the face, the lips and inside barrels.

When we only refinish the center it will cost around $150 and does not include any other services such as assembly, so the best deal is to have us refinish the entire wheel at once.

You can see how attentive we are to the inside barrel compared to untreated new wheels.
