Default Player's Run 2004 Interest

Hey guys,

Just thought I would test the water and see if anyone is interested in entering the 2004 Player's Run from NY to LA in June.

The rally includes track events, 5 star hotels, police escorts and much more. Entry fee until Nov. 15 is $9,800 everything included except gas. After the 15th, the fee will be $11,800.

I've talked to the organizers of the Player's Run and we have worked out an association. I have been authorized to offer this deal.

For anyone who signs up through me, I can give you a one year ($150 value) free membership to my club, as well as a $250 card to help with gas.

Participants in both the Players Run and the Gumball 3000 have said the Player's Run was by far a more thrilling and exciting rally to be a part of. The cars are limited and after last years excitment I'm sure they'll be filled up soon.

If any of you are interested in signing up for the time of your life and just have some questions my contact info is below.

You can get all the details of last years rally here: www.PlayersRun.com

I saw a DVD on this years run about 2 months ago and have been gathering information on the 2004 run since. This looks like an incredible experience. I'm definitely interested in taking part. I'm not sure that I can get plan finalized to enable me to commit to the entry fee before this Saturday (Nov. 15th) though. So I'm not going to sweat it. I should be able to confirm by the end of the month. I'll keep in touch.
Have you already signed up? How many spots are still open? I have several others that have expressed interest...might just need some additional information or a chance to look at the DVD to get them closer.
Funny...I posted something about this about week ago or so and go no response what-so-ever. Glad you posted.

Jim,

Markus is sending me a press packet this week and should be including some copies of the DVD. Email me your address and reference to this thread and I'll try to get a copy out to you ASAP.

You can show all your friends and get them to join us on the run. ;-)

I was kinda surprised at the lack of interest when I posted something last week. Don't know why. I'm definitely 'on the fence' and with some additional info. (please copy me when you get it, or have some sent to me if that's easier) I'd say I'll be joining you.

Ok, not the last bump

Just got off the phone with Markus. If you sign up through me, not only will I give you the membership and the $250 worth of gas, but you also get $1000 off the entry fee.

So total is now $10,800 for all events, hotels, food, etc. plus you will get the $150 membership and $250 for gas.

Damn, I signed up 2 months too soon for the gas card. I did get the early bird though. My partner and I are pretty psyched about the whole thing, especially the afterparties!! (those of you who talked to Marcus knows what I'm talking about )

$10K will get me a full year's worth of track days, race gas, and tires, with enough left over hang out in Hawaii with my wife for a week.

My idea of a party is an evening of BBQ, 18yo Macallan, a couple pints of homebrew, a few Montecristo #2's, and tossing a few darts or some poker with some buddies.

Maybe I'm geting old, but hanging out with some self-proclaimed "playa's" sounds pretty heinous to me.

Crotchety boring old fart homebody signin' off, Boiiii!!!

I got you both beat, I'm 35 and feel the same way.
$10K buys 2/3rd of my CSP autocross car _including_ mods.
Are we really getting old, or is this idea painfully stupid? I just drove across the contry without police escort or paying $10K. Maybe we're all missing something.
