Default Spacers on 993 C2S

Hi,

I have a question re spacers.

I currently have (standard?) 17'' cup wheels on my 993 C2S.
These are 7Jx17 (front) and 9Jx17 (rear). There are 31mm spacers in the rear (as per Porsche specs). There should be 5mm spacers in the front but these seem to be missing.

I would now like to switch to 18'' wheels. Although I like to keep the car original I don't really like the Turbo twist rims. I'm more interested in the 18'' MY'02 Carrrera BBS rims. Cfr picture below from one of the posters in a 'show my your wheels' thread.

The MY'02 Carrera rims are 8x18 ET50 (front) and 10x18 ET65 (rear).
The spacers in the rear should be 25mm (according to Porsche specs). In the front I think it's not needed to have spacers ?

My question is if I can 'get away' with keeping the 31mm spacers in the rear and using them on these 10x18 ET65 rims. The wheels will of course be more to the outside (compared to 25mm spacers) but this is probably OK? Has anyone done this already?
To make the front and back stand out equally should I use 5mm spacers in the front and keep the 31mm in the rear?

Thanks!

I have a wide-body C4S and run MY02s with 32mm spacers on the rears only, no spacers on the fronts.

I have NB OEM RS Speedlines on my C2S. I'm using DRM 43mm on the rears and they are perfect.

That's lot (43mm). Do you have a picture?
And on the fronts? No spacers?

Thanks, very nice!

I wonder why you don't put a 5mm spacer in the front. On the picture the front wheel seems to be too much on the inside to me (compared to the rear)

Guess it never bothered me and triggered my OCD

If you are gonna run spacers, I recommend using hub-centric spacers. H&R makes some good ones, I believe.
