hello my car is a MY95 C4, after some intermittent loss of ignition/misfire I was in a trouble away from home with the car dead at all
I picked up the DME relay, it was very hot, waited some minutes and put it in place again, tha car started and I drove back home; once stopped the car wont start anymore
now the shortcut beetwen 30/87/87b on the DME makes the car run without problems
after reading lot of posts trying to solve my problem, reading this post I remeber some electric frying noise under the passenger or driver seat, not sure
do you think the soldering issue could be a cause?
is there any pic showing how to reach this part and fix the problem?
thanks

update and solution - I installed a new relay and now everything works properly

so the teaching is as follows: don't trust a relay that tested out of the car seems to work and switches, unless you make a real test with the load attached
