Legalising a EuroGT2

I've been eyeing a gorgeous GPW 12-97 450bhp GT2 in England...I am being told that the cost of US legalisation are absurd...do you or others know what's involved and\or costs...thanks

gotta figue.....EPA certification, DOT certifcation, I would say very absurd! However I do believe you can bring the car in as a musem peice, or race car. You would be limited to 2000 miles per year? or there abouts. This law just came into effect recently. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
