Default These gems finally made it to AZ

and they were in the auto section - end of an aisle with holiday season stuff. That's the good news.

The bads news is I bought the last two tonight at the Target on AZ Avenue in Chandler. I knew I had Porsche disease but this is nuts.

Steve, Install one of your power chips in it.. remap the power band 'till the cat can't catch up anymore Let me know when you get it to go faster, my dog is outrunning mine too.

Cool. Thanks, Brad. Are you sure that's not a photo of the R/C?

I wonder if Target will be restocking these things after this nationwide mini-run on their stores?

I can see some befuddled product planner in Minneapolis scratching his head, wondering why in the world they've sold a couple of thousand of these GT2's in the past few weeks that aren't even stocked with the other RC's in the toy department...

FWIW, when I checked my local Target on a Wednesday a few weeks ago, none had arrived, but on the following Saturday I found the last one on the shelves. A sellout in 3 days.

Found another photo (in addition to Brad's) of the car from LeMans in '97, as well as some information (albeit in French...) for the Elf Haberthur team.

Tim

I went to my local Target and got 2 of the 3 they had on the shelves.

As a service to fellow Rennlisters, who have helped me in my brief time as a new member.....

If there is someone out there willing to pay shipping I will part with the extra 993 GT2 RC model I have.

Brad and Tim, Cool pictures!! Wow I never thought I'd see the real deal. It just shows that if we unite our resources, this group can research and produce results!! is this what they call "United we stand, divided we fall" ??

I scooped up three more today and would be more than willing to send one or two out to a Rennlist member who can't find one.

Mike,

Look what you've started! Thanks for the heads-up. I bought two today "for my son and nephew" (if they can pry the remote control out of my hands!).

Cool Anir!! At least for this winter, If we get frustrated 'cause we can't drive our P cars, we have the small one for relief

Target should pay or at least send me a gift card/discount card for this
