My new GT3 RS
As many of you know, I just finished my suspension project so I needed something new to keep my hands busy.
Here she is - isn't she a beauty!

Mostly just rolled her around and made vroom noises so far. I'm considering taking her to the track (hallway) this afternoon for a high speed run. Do you think I need any mods before I let her stretch her legs? Maybe just flush the brake fluid before and after

No issues with the subframe thank God! I did need my kids' help getting the doors to articulate properly. Nice to have a couple lego-masters in the house. This is my first kit since I was about 12.

That would be great, what do you recommend? If we could convert this to an oil thread I would be very proud...
The engine sticker says Mobil1. Should I stick with that or go straight to Brad Penn. I'm planning on keeping it a long time and want the engine to really last.

Just started Box 2. What is the deal with the steering? It seems as though they lock out the steering so you can't turn the wheel all the way one way or another unless you remove two little pieces.
The F40 kit is child's play compared to the GT3 RS with 2704 pieces verses the fezzas 1158 pieces
This is my first Lego experience and it is surprisingly rewarding.

Now I'm day-dreaming about fitting an electric motor to the drive shaft. I guess you could probably put a servo on the steering and on the gear change as well... that would be fun!

There is a thread on this Lego build and I counted over 40 (maybe 50+) other rennlisters who bought this kit.

There is a youtube video that gives some scant instructions on using some other lego parts to turn it into a remote controlled car.
I was curious about the F40 and Caterham kit too but after I started this kit I received for Christmas I am really only interested in these complex kits.

So how long did it take it to put together? I remember a video of it when it came out...looked like it would take longer than replacing chain cover gaskets on 993 ))))
Very cool.
