I was in the black 996 C2S. It was great meeting you all and seeing
your fantastic Porsches. We should do this more often.
Maybe next time I will bring my Spyder replica (155 hp, 1300 lbs)
Its quicker that my 996.

thats my gt3. Same SY as lonnie's (who was very kind in giving me a ride in his before i got mine so that i could "cement" the decision).

Was great seeing everyone. See you at the next one (maybe i'll bring my "rev limiter" next time).

BTWm since you liked the sounds, you need to hear it when I take the baffles out (at track). If you though it was loud now...
Sound is fabulous at that tunnel, probably boaters above can feel it!
If you want same set up when you get your car, I'll help you out, "set" comes with the ear plugs too...

Meeting later every now and then (might be just additional thng to this) at some times is goo idea also! How about if we join the crowds at Dania?
(There's pretty big "meet" I think every Friday evening at Dania, almost next to 595, I went there once with Chris and there was probably 50-100 car out there... Only couple of other Porsches so they "need" us there!

The meet on Fri. nights at 595 and University is at Towers Shops, I am there every friday with the Bimmer crew... This is the reason I can't make it on Sat. cause I am there till like 9-10, then go out from there .
I will try and make the next one, but you guys should swing by towers, its lots of fun...

How's the crowd there? I was under the impression it was more like a high-school kind of thing, where cops break it up after awhile.

What BMW crew? DTM?

The meet I went was mostly old american cars.

There was "Fast and Furious" folks also but not majority at all.

I've only been there once, but it seemed to be a good mix people. Old hot rods new etc.. But I've never heard of cops coming to break it up

Here is how Towers works:
5-9pm=good people, lots of muscle and classic cars, prob. 5-10 modded BMW's (my buddies), me and a GT2 (with OZ racing rims, tubi exhaust, etc.) and some very nice cars.
Starting around 9-10pm=Ricers invade...they all come rolling in with airbags fart cans, neons, strobes, etc. This is when the cops really start coming in (they are there the whole time because it is an organized meet with permits and stuff). At around 10:30 or whenever there are too many ricers they begin kicking everyone out....They leave us (German crew) alone because we cause no problems, they just try and get the kids out...
Tower usually has around 100+ cars there on a good night with no rain, and is a blast, with music (hickstyle but still ), food, and vendors...

Hmmm, maybe I'll have to check it out. Could we possibly get a Ft. Lauderdale meeting point and then roll en caravan to Towers? I'm still learning the area as well.

I am usually there twice a month with the repro Spyder.
If you guys want to go one Friday nite,
lets do a formal meet there with a specific date, time
and area.
