sounds funny to me to.
When my belt sensor failed, the dash light came on. That's it. I jumpered the connector and the light went out until I installed a new sensor.

When they showed me the piece, a part of the arm was broken.

They break all the time. But for my own education, I'm trying to figure out how a broken belt sensor would drain a battery while the car is parked.

I hope it can, otherwise my problem is still there.

They said that even though the measuring arm was broken, the sensor was not triggering the warning light.

Default Battery Charging Question

Interesting read (and really appreciated Eric's video). I do have a drain somewhere, just haven't made the time to track it down. My question is a little different.

I only drive the car once a week (I put a lot of mileage during work week), and leave the battery on a tender otherwise. After driving the car during day, it takes the tender almost 2 days to get the battery back to fully charged state.

I'm thinking the alternator isn't able to keep the battery up to charge, and maybe my belts need to be tightened a little. Unfortunately, I did not replace the alternator when I replaced the fan and bearing, so I'm hoping I don't need to do that job
Any thoughts?
