Question Painted Bumpers & Bumperettes?

Anyone had their bumpers and bumperettes painted to match their body color?

Would be interested in seeing some shots, particularly of arctic silver.

Thanks, Nick

I've always wondered what those are for?
We sure don't have it in Europe..
Ok, so we've got BiG licenceplates but that's optional sometimes..
Actually, it's not optional with small plates in Sweden, only if you've got an american car and can't put a BiG plate on it.
I tried getting small plates for my car but they wont let me have it so I ordered it from a company that does comercial signs

Anyone paint the front bumperettes? Arctic silver?

Thinking about combining paint work on bumperettes with clear lenses as an alternative to the bumper notch filing and painting option.

Kim, I agree. Bumperettes stink. However, before I go for a front bumper paint job, as an interim step would like to see if the bumperettes "disappear" some-what with a switch of color from black to silver to match my body color.

Question cost for painted bumperettes?

Kim - Good modification - looks great. Did you have it done at a local paint shop or where? The only place I've found them (haven't priced at local paint shop yet) is bumperPlugs.com, where they're $350 for all four (front & rear). That's for my existing bumperettes, after mailing them in.

I'm hoping you or another Rennlister has a more economical solution.

Nick - Thanks for starting this topic. I was about to post the same sort of question when I - luckily - did a search & found you'd already opened the subject.

Here's a visual aid of a front for you (not my C4S):

The painted front bumperettes look pretty good to me, better than black, but not as good as a removal.

The ones from Bumperplugs.com are expensive, but they are without a doubt the best quality paint match and materials I have ever seen in aftermarket Porsche gear. The guy that runs that business really takes pains to color match and his work is superb. I actually don't mind them in black on my AR but if I were going to do painted I would use his stuff without a doubt

Anyone yet to take the plunge in arctic silver?

Also, any full car shots to see if the bumperettes "disappear" from a distance?

Thanks, Nick
