Default Deep Dish Wheels

Have a 95 NB and am interested in replacing the wheels with something more to my liking. I have always loved wheels with a deep dish on the rear. After looking around, all I see are 993's without deep dished wheels. Is this just a style thing or is there a mechanical limitation? Can anyone point me to deep dish wheels for a NB 993? Thanks!

Lots of choice out there... Have a look at the cool wheel thread here: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...eir-993-a.html

Speedline RS & Daytona's look great, as do BBS e88 or LM's and both manufacturers offer quality & strength.

I have a photo of my wife and the 993 in the same spot on Skyline Drive.
Lots of 993s with dish. Here are a few... (cab-Fabspeed)

Tramonts Cups, even in NB fittment can have lots of rear dish. There are more than a few rennlisters here that have them. True custom built to spec 3 Pc wheel, and favorable exchange rates vs the euro is a full win IMHO.

Refer to my avatar pic for the glorious WB rear dish.

RH Alurad AG Cup - a bit on the heavy side. One piece wheel disguised to look like a 3 piece

Dish is difficult to get on the rear of a NB 993, because of the recommended offset range ET55-65. It just doesnt give the option for most styles of wheels to create dish. For the WB cars and an ET of 40 is is much easier to get an additional 1" of lip on the same wheels...

The Gemballa above is an option, but to me it always looks like they are forcing the 'dish' rather than it looking right. It also makes the fronts look a little weird.

Default DEEp dish on NB

My NB and P-daddy's gorgeous WB machine after ripping around MD doing the speed limit of course

I got to give it up to Tramont, fantastic wheel and imo you can achieve pretty decent dish on NB 993s My wheel specs are. 10j x 18"+55 Rr. and 8.5j x18"+40 frt. They will build you almost any size you want. I asked them to maximize the lip size as much as possible and they look great imo. Gives the NB body work and much more aggressive stance. Plus, I'm able to run factory size michelin pilot super sports p225/40 front, p265/35R rear. Please note, I personally rolled my rear fenders slightly because my ride height is low and didn't want to raise it up.

Sander- your Tramont Cups have the most dish I've seen on a NB. Simply gorgeous wheels!

What a great drive that morning

I agree with the sentiments expressed about Tramonts on a NB. These are 18x10 ET+58 on my NB.

Thanks for all the replys. I am loving the look of the Tramonts. I took a quick look at their website and they seem to be in Europe. Do they by chance have a US distributer I can contact?

Tramont does not have a US distributor, you deal directly with them. Christine will respond via email to you, and work you thru the process. A much simpler process now, than originally...ask me how, no wait, DONT ask me how I know.

-order up wheel specs, width, et, center color
-bank transfer in Euros
-await production(was about 3-4 weeks)
-shipping handled by them, takes just a few days via air freight.

Just a beautiful wheel for the 993, but I am WAAAAY biased.

Good luck!

Tramont Cups give plenty of dish on a narrow body.

F 8.5x18 ET 52
R 10x18 ET 59

Using a 265/35 PS2 tire on rear.

Have a look at these threads below by Magdaddy and Jlaa, they contain all the information you'll need (and more):

For the love of all things good in this world...don't open/read the first link!

Shipping is taken care of by Tramont now, so all the drama is removed from the experience. I'm getting flashbacks by just opening the link.

I need a beer...........

All the wheels pictured above are really more of a deep offset rather than a deep "dish" look.

I really like the concave look for wheels (for a lot of different cars). I've never seen any 993s with a nice concave style wheel. I don't think the placement of the calipers really allow it.
