Question Arena Red car with Euro rear lenses?

My arena red car came with Euro rear lenses. These have the amber turn signal lenses, which means each rear lens has both a red half and an amber half. The P.O. also gave me the original USA (solid red) lenses. I'm thinking that for my car, the solid red may look better. What do you guys think?

I'd ask my wife, but she's still mad that I installed the Fabspeed muffler bypasses!

I like the US rear lenses and the Euro fronts - I like the continuous lines more (especially without bumperettes...)

Steve,

I thought of putting on the Euro rear lenses (with amber section) and passed on it. I agree with Grant that the best look is the US rear lenses and the Euro fronts.

Hey Steve,

I concur with Grant and Mike and it's what I've done . . . US rears (all red) and shortened Euro fronts (all white) from AJ-USA.

Regards,

Four for Four - I was just looking at an ad for Euro rears and thought it odd that they put amber on the rear but not the front. Though that pic from a prior post showed a euro cab with amber front signal lights. Go figure?

Anyway, I like the all red look better too.

Ours came with all red at rear and all clear at the front. I think it looks better that way.

Is there such a thing as making your car look ANY better than it already looks. Easily one of the best on the board IMO

I agree with all the others re: the rear lenses. For the fronts, however, I'll dissent and say I like the amber lenses better. For a silver car, the clear lenses are definitely the way to go, but on the Arena Red, I just preferred the amber. See my avatar for an example.

Of course, it's your car, so you should style it the way you like it.

Steve,

the european rear lens is red on a tt and c4. It is only amber on the c2.
I would go with the solid red ones.

Autobahn,

I'm a little confused... the "Kills bugs fast" poster which is hanging in front of me, depicts a Euro arena red TT with the amber rear turn signals. Is it possible that different Euro countries have different requirements for amber/red/clear rear/front turn signals? Its seems that there are several different combinations out there.

For the record, my TT has the Euro (no bumperettes) front bumper with clear turn signal lenses and the turbo S ducts, painted to match the car. I think I'm going to put the US rear lenses on... it seems to be unanimous!

Thanks for the help.

Steve,

it could be that there are different specs for different countries in europe. At least in Germany your car would have red lenses.

Go for it Steve... Unless you want to come up to the house and do it here tomorrow.... So we installed a set of PSS9s in under three hours on a Turbo. Not bad... Then a quick brake job, and a little BBQ.. Not a bad Saturday. Tomorrow another PSS9 install, then a drain and fill diffs on a turbo, and maybe an oil change or two... Oh and a swap of one of my rear Motons. Just another typical Sunday.

Sure you don't want to move to the Bay Area Steve? We also do not have as many fires (unless you move to Oakland)...

Bob,

If you are not careful, you'll convince me to make a little road trip for a PSS-9 install, along with rs mounts and those familiar turbo hoses. Plus, I'd like to try a diff refill to see if it helps that 80 mph howl. I'm waiting to hear from Eric in Chicago to see when those PSS-9s will be shipped to me.

I just spent all of three minutes changing my rear lenses.

Talking ALL RED!!!

kinda wondered why you had euros @ the rear esp. w/ your cars color.

imho... all red will look cleaner & more minimal. have the all red on mine for the same reason... & the euro turn-signal up front (for the same reason).

funny how the u.s. rear lights seem to have been "done" right.
whereas in all other applications i think the u.s. versions have been always a bit "too much"... too busy... amber, red & white etc.

btw steve... your car has gotta be the most attractive "tt" i've ever seen. i'm a big fan of the "k-28's" too... but the color you chose for your car just fits perfect!

Thanks for the compliment. I really love the way my car looks. I swapped the rear lenses... you guys were right; solid red looks better. Thanks.
