As mentioned a few days ago, I have been working on improving wiring and reducing the weight of the harnesses. To date, approximately 15 kg (approximately 33 pounds) has been eliminated. Attached is a picture showing, on the left, the original main cockpit harness and the replacement encircled.

Robert,
Glad to hear you are making progress with Project Humpty Dumpty. That's unbelievable you could save so much weight just in the wiring harness, and not really a very intuitive place to look to trim pounds.

My apologies for not answering sooner. I have been down with the a Sebring obtained flu/bronchitis.
To the original topic of this posting, the new wiring harness ended up saving in excess of 42 pounds. Other than this, there are but a few final components being completed for the vehicle:
1. the second version of the carbon fiber front struts (the first version failed the stress tests to which they were subjected on the corner rig);
2. the carbon fiber brackets for the remote canisters for the front struts;
3. the carbon fiber/titanium seat rails;
4. two carbon fiber transmission casing pieces;
5. the carbon fiber hood.
With luck, and assuming I am not forced to delay completion due to more pressing production items (e.g., for the GT3 RSR), the car should be assembled by the end of May.
Thanks for your interest.
Bob
P.S. A number of Cartridge components endured the 12 hours of Sebring last Saturday and I am happy to report that all performed well.

Everytime TV footage of a GT3 in the pits was shown I saw your avatar plastered all over the back of the car.
Looking good... May I suggest fluorescent or some sort of reflective/glow-in-the-dark ink (or maybe something electroluminescent powered off a flat battery?) be used on your stickers for the next night race? Once the sun started going down it became impossible to see your logo.
