I made an appt to have my independent Porsche service tech install new springs and shocks on my 1996 911. Based on the advice of fellow forum subscribers, I told them I wanted Bilstein HD w/ H&R Sport springs.
Their parts guy recommends that I install "Bilstein Sport" shocks with the H&R Springs. I asked what the difference was and he said the the Bilstein Sport shocks have less travel so are better calibrated to the H&R Sport springs. Sounds logical.. BUT
- I can't find any so-called "Bilstein Sport" shocks on the Bilstein corporate site.
Can anyone shed any light on this? Has anyone heard of such shocks? The price is about the same as HDs...about $300 more for set of 4.
Thanks

I guess there's 2 types of HD's but only one offered for the 993. Check with Gert at Carnewal (a Sponser - link in upper right of page). I asked the same question, I'll defer to him for the details.
