Default 1995 or 1996 993

I was initially looking for a 1995 993, when I drove one it didnt seem as quick as my 1996 was I didn't realize that the varioram made that much of a difference. I was initially planning on spending $35,000, how much would I have to increase that by to get a decent 1996.

you could find a 96 for the same price.... might just take you longer. Or you could get that 95 and chip it, to make up for the lack of varioram. As a benefit you get ODBI and no worried about the carbon thing...

I second Greg's reply. Fewer CEL issues with OBDI.

Keep in mind that the Varioram's only real advantage is at low to mid revs. The '95 is every bit as quick -- you just have to use the gearbox more.

95's tend to vary how much hp each example may have. You might drive one that feels slow but the next one somewhat faster. Try a few different 95's before you give up on them.
