To Roll or Not to Roll
I took the plunge and installed M030 with Bilstein HD's earlier this year:
Before:
After:
I love the ride height now, but I hate the way the wheels fill the fenders. Just doesn't look right.
It seems consensus is to use 5 mm spacers all around. Hardly seems like 5 mm will make much of difference.
Which brings up the prospect of rolling the fenders to fit a bigger spacer.
To be honest, the thought of using "heat gun" and "Louisville Slugger" in the same sentence as "my 993" makes me break out into a cold sweat!
Will put it out to the group and hear what they think.
Also, how much extra can you push the wheels out with rolling? Sounds like you can get an extra 5 mm.
I'd appreciate any pics of anyone who has done either option: Non-rolled with 5 mm spacer or rolled with bigger spacer.
Cheers

Three Wheelin'
Honestly...I can't even imagine taking a hammer or whatever else to a perfectly good fender in order to fit a larger tire. That's seems insane...unless you are making money racing and the bigger tires will win you more races and make you more money.

Drifting
I'm still trying to figure out what doesn't look right with the wheel/tire combo. Ride height looks just right and so do the wheels/tires under the fenders. Leave it alone !!

I agree with everyone else. You don't want to roll your fenders with a wooden bat. That's straight up Civic Type-R behavior.
On European cars you use a phone book and a 1x4 like this. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

"Hate" is a rather strong word to describe what is a rather subtle cosmetic difference. I would leave well enough alone as adding spacers may introduce other unwanted properties to your driving experience. My experience is that if one looks for love in the wrong place long enough you will find it and it will be expensive and generally not very satisfying.

My silver C2S is going to the body shop next week to have the insides of the front fenders repainted after some rubbing at AX events. The correct camber and a stiffer suspension would have avoided this. Rubbing you fenders is no fun, but rolling the fenders is neither necessary or warranted IMHO if your car is set up properly.
If you're running the correct 285's in back as you should be on an S, you can add 5mm spacers without rolling the fenders. I ran 295's in back with 11" Turbo II 996 wheels with no problems. The Turbo II's will fill out the rear wells very nicely. The wheels up front are another story, and the tight space dissuaded me from increasing beyond 225.

Two other factors come into play: one is the width of the tire. Tires such as the old BFG R1 were wider than Hoosier R6s. Also, there is some strong, anecdotal evidence that some 993s are wider than others; there have been a few threads on the matter in the archives.
