Default Boston long term parking for a 993?

We got a bit of a scramble as we're living for 6 months and the parking we usually use long-term is not available. So... Does anyone know of any good parking for that period of time within an hour or less drive from Boston, hopefully? I can either leave a 993 there or one of two other, much less expensive cars. All of them are registered and insured.

Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. We found a garage in Quincy, will investigate further, but time is short, need to figure something out by November 1st or before.

Thanks in advance!

I've used "Toy Box" in Marlboro about two years ago. Indoor climate controlled car storage; reasonable prices.

I use this Co. for winter storage. The guy is a car collector and a very nice guy. Place is heated. That it's a 1/4 mile from my house is a huge bonus for me.

Boston, hmmmm... Can't you just get an old store mannequin and pose it so it looks like it is driving and just park it in traffic. One of those old school rotory streets work best during rush hour, in Boston who would notice the car is not moving?

Woops, sorry I just reread the original posting. My solution would require moving the car a few feet once every day or so, it may not be the best long term solution.

Most all of the indy shops in the area have made arrangements for seasonal or longer-term storage of customer cars. Call EPE, Eurotech, Autosport, etc.

That's all fine and good gentlemen, thanks, but what do they charge, at least approximately?

Toy Box is $175/mo. http://www.mybigtoybox.com/carstoragepricing.html

You can contact AH Car Storage for a price. I've heard good things about this place. http://www.ahcarstorage.com/contact/

My in-laws are snow-birds, so winter storage is largely free for me.

Autosport quoted me at about $100/mo but that was a couple of years ago.

Not quite in Boston but I have a spot in the garage I use. It's big enough to store a 993. Across the GWB in New Jersey.

AH is $160, at least that's what it was the past 2 years.

Thanks, guys!

We are snowbirds too, but we live all three "northern" cars here in Boston. So it's always a hassle. I have two spots, including one I rent year-round in Quincy. But the third one, where I usually keep the 993, disappeared. So, the scramble. I have found a public garage that, allegedly, charges $85 a month, we'll have to go see. Maybe I'm behind times, but $1K for a winter parking sounds a bit excessive to me. Not that it's bad, it's just not what I'd prefer or need. If this garage works out and others need it, I'll let you know.

Ilko don't tempt me. I've made a trek from Boston to Edgewater on monthly bases for many years

Mike - Best place in the area is Park Place down in Portsmouth, RI. It's pricey though at $260/mo. but has fully heater, trickle chargers, etc.

Thanks, Kevin!

I want to keep it a bit more reasonably priced. given that this is my daily driver. Once I get over the two days of oral surgery that started today (weeee, fun), I'll try to get down to Quincy and look-see what they offer.
