Why is it that Weissachs Webpage is so much better than Ruf's??? Why don't the show prices for their products??? Very annoying. Sorry for the OT.

Hey Nota:

Did you happen to catch the thread a couple of weeks ago where someone was selling their RUF wheels? Don't know if he sold them and I think he was abroad so shipping could be expensive, but might be worth a quick search.

Regards,

nota troll/needa bra ....if you send me a few (hi-res) pics of your car i can try to do a better photoshop job. my email is max at blue3.net

they are good looking wheels, but expensive, and as mentioned=Heavy!
one upside to all of the Ruf wheels is that they seem to be easy to sell for a good price if you change your mind about them at some point.

nota...your PM box is full!!
now everyone has to see this:

thanks for the compliment Viken. I thought it would be a good background because of the colors, but the black & whites turned out even better.

Regards,
Man, all those pictures make me want to keep the rims again.... BTW its me thats dumping the RUFs. Confirmed that I will be trading them with the wheel dealer here in Singapore for USD1,200.....and I paid around USD4,200 for them a while back. Dont think they hold their price too well in Singapore. As Superyellow said, they are very strong but heavy rims, hence my change to Japanese "Work" 3 piece rims (they make the 3 piece BBS style mesh rims that FVD distributes).

Hey Max, a quick side question. I notice that you have clear US indicator lenses which allow for the black rubber block between the lenses and the fog lights. Where did you get these clear US type lenses. I can only find the Euro lenses which mean you need to remove the black bumpers.

hugh, AJ-USA was the source if i remember correctly. All they are is european lenses that have been cut down and sealed with clear silicone.
If i were to do it again, i would get the european lenses and trim them myself as the pair from AJ left a little to be desired....not terrible, but the angle of the cut could have been a little better. plus, the silicone began to peel off after a couple of R & Rs . maybe a clear 2-part epoxy would be a better solution.
good luck,
max

edit: here is a direct link
