OT: Proud to say....
that I paid for yet another year of Rennlist membership. Last night my wife was paying bills etc. (yes, including the dang property tax!!!) and she says, "should I renew the Rennlist membership"? I said "is a frogs a$$ watertight"? Of course, renew that sucker.
She said, sounds good to me. I of course had to go on and on about how great all 'listers are and how much money we save (didnt tell her about locating that slippery slope) etc.
Anyhow, not that exciting, but proud to be a member!

Chris,
Wow maybe I am easily swayed, but your lockeroom speech has motivated me to go to the sign up page. I have only owned my 993 for about 2 months but this site has been a great source of information. I do feel silver bullet is onto something because I have gotten the mod bug from perusing the threads. My question is how do you tell your wife you want a muffler for xmas?

I will go out on a limb and guess that a frog's *** is watertight, so yes, renewing your Rennlist membership in order to gain infinite knowledge on how to spend money on your 993 is well worth it. <g>

I was lucky when I bought my car. Prolly a day or two after I drove it home, I removed the mufflers and sent them to Robin for some 'treatment'. Best part is, my wife said 'boy that car is quiet'. Thats all it took! She approved that mod no problem. Its the rest of them she has reserves with.

Guys, your car is 7-8 yrs old, things broke. Tell your wife you're saving money by sending them out for repair instead of getting new ones. I couldn't use this on my wife, she knows me too well.

Getting things by my wife is getting tougher. I have made my share of mistakes... like the morning we discussed all of the "updates" my car would need and as I was leaving for work she said "Why don't you get the radio first and save the 18" rims for next year" Well that night I had to tell her I bought new rims and tires. Mental errors!!! Well now she jokingly refers to the car as "the *****" and is wondering how if I am going to design some kind of system so I can drive up to the bedroom.

LOL... sounds like you could teach a class "Mods and your spouse 101" Could you be my Cyrano de Bergerac?.... we could hook up some kind of short wave video/audio feed with a earpiece
