Do bad SAI check valves lead to bad oxygen sensors? Thinking it might not be a bad idea to replace them but not certain of the answer. Thanks for the insite.

Okay so I just got back from my mechanic after having some smoke while driving coming from the engine. After doing an inspection, it seems like I need the following fixed:

valve cover upper/lower
timing cover seal
tensioner gaskets
power steering hose leak
exhaust
motor/transmission mounts

hot damn another 4k into this baby

Any time you're burning oil, you're pumping excessive HC's which will shorten the life of O2 sensors. I would invest in a decent OBDII reader for 96 and later, which will check the functionality of the O2's when they go bad, or are working at a marginal level.

Some guys will change O2 sensors based upon mileage, but Ive seen them last 150k. I change em when they go bad or are not working properly per the OBDII reader.
