Looks amazing. Can’t wait. Since these are parade laps, I assume no helmet is required, right? Just wanted to double check.

Your choice if you wish to wear a helmet but we will not be going as fast as highway speed.

Please re-read the posts. This is not a DE day.

Thank you.

Is this something a spouse would enjoy/be welcome at or is it more of a guy thing? Didn't want to be the only one to bring a date

GBX, same as last year - you guys decide! The place is ours, clockwise, counter-clockwise, we just need to be respectable.

Photo, video ops abound.

9am start is ideal but 10 is fine as well. The gate will be open at 8am and coffee/pastries, apples/cider will be available.

A headcount helps me as I'll be ordering lunch. If you have special dietary concerns please plan accordingly.

If anyone is planning to come from NYC or L.I. please realize the traffic in CT can be brutal in the morning. Thruway to the Mass Pike is not a bad plan for some, or the ferry to New Haven.

The location is private and in-between cell towers. The entrance road to the mountain facility is 3/4 of a mile long. Some GPS will get you there accurately - any issues use the Google box.

The physical address is:

58 West Ware Rd
Palmer, MA
01069

Best regards,

Al
My apologies....weather was crap here in Central New York all of both Sat & Sun mornings. The real problem for me though is...as a local elected official, in a re-election year, Saturday’s, and Sundays are too valuable for door to door time.

Work means that Wednesday is out also for me. Next year...guaranteed. Looking forward to the pics of the event, curious about the success of the swap meet also. Imaging TWO Pcar events within a few hours of me is fantastic. Now if we can just arrange a location to meet, and greet...and swill fancy craft beverages the night before...that would be even better!

Porsche on the Mountain was great! 85 Porsches, over 520 attendees. It did rain in the AM but stopped around 11:15 and the balance of the day was dry. The vendors did well because they were mostly in the 26 bay garage and during the showers that was the place to be.

Sorry you cannot make it on Wednesday, last year was epic, this year will be just as rewarding. Sunshine in the morning with a few clouds in the afternoon.

I cannot think of a better reason to take a vacation day. The Al Holbert car will be here on display as well as a 900hp Ruf which is a one of a kind.

Regards,

.

+993, Thanks Al! Thanks also to the gracious owner, and to the whole crew at Palmer. We we are all so privileged to have access to such an incredible venue.

It was a fantastic day. Great to meet some fellow enthusiasts, and see some really well equipped cars.

My two hi-lights: driving the course clockwise, and seeing Ilko's RS clone.

Thanks again to Al for making it all happen.

Al, first of all, it was a real pleasure to finally meet you! Thank you for your hospitality and leadership today. What a memorable experience! It was so worth the 3+ hours drive from NYC. The Palmer Motorsports facility is really incredible! A truly special road course!

I had a great time and it was so fun to meet other air-cooled owners and see some old friends!

Thank you for the kind words Foxman, your car is quite spectacular as well!

Does anyone know if this event will happen again this year? I met Jay777 at the Concours in Canton yesterday and he was raving about it...
